The Eastern Region includes seven states – Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New Jersey. This region is home to approximately 60+ ski resorts. With such an urban setting close by, these resorts are popular weekend escapes from big city life and great places to seek employment for anyone.

They are also excellent training grounds for up and coming skiers and snowboarders who want to make it big on the race or park scene.

Massachusetts
- Jiminy Peak – A green energy trendsetter, Jiminy Peak is an excellent family ski resort with all sorts of winter and summer activities like mountain coasters, alpine super slides, fishing, hiking, biking, mini golf, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, and of course special events.
New York
- Holiday Valley – New York’s largest ski area offers night skiing. It operates for approximately a 120 day per season and employs lots of people in the area who get to ski and ride all day and into the night.
- Hunter Mountain – Nestled in the famous Catskill Mountains, Hunter is only three hours north of New York City. With extensive snowmaking, you can plan on a long season and good coverage.
- Lake Placid – Whiteface Mountain is just down the road from Lake Placid and has the biggest vertical of any resort on the East Coast – 3,430 feet. In 1980 it hosted several Winter Olympics ski racing events and is now known for big mountain skiing. Whiteface is the perfect spot for someone who wants to work where they have it all.
- Windham Mountain – Windham is a sweet ski hill, but it is also a mountain biking destination, which means it operates year round.
Pennsylvania
- Jack Frost Big Boulder – Located in a remote spot, this is a superb place to escape the big city life and enjoy the serenity of nature in the scenic mountains of Pennsylvania.
