Population of the Czech Republic and Slovakia
The Czech Republic has a population of nearly 10.5 million people. Though many ethnic groups, including Czechs, Slovaks, Germans, Poles, and Romanies (also known as Gypsies), populate this small Eastern-European county, well over eighty percent are of Czech ethnicity.
Slovakia, on the other hand, can count roughly 5.4 million inhabitants with greater ethnic diversity than its neighbor. Ethnic Slovaks, Hungarians, Poles, Ukrainians, Russians, and Romanies all make their homes there.
