Casino Race and Sport Book Cashiers
This entry-level job involves paying winning wagers to customers who have placed bets on sporting events.
Most of the larger casinos in Nevada have race and sports lounges, huge areas where customers can place wagers on a variety of national sporting games and horse races, then watch the results on any of hundreds of TV monitors. Applicants will need excellent customer service skills, previous banking or cashiering experience is helpful. Employees receive an hourly wage, usually starting out at around minimum wage or a bit higher, plus tips.
