Hiroshima is a modern, industrialized city that was completely rebuilt after World War II. Today it’s a prosperous, not especially attractive city located near the beautiful islands of the Inland Sea. There are fewer teaching opportunities here than in Tokyo or Osaka, of course, but less competition as well.

Hiroshima is a major shinkansen (bullet train) terminal, and also has numerous ferries. Within the city use Japanese Railway (JR), and buses.
