Casino Slot Hosts
Similar to casino hosts, slot hosts often are a part of the marketing and sales department. However, we’ve included the job under the casino floor positions because it requires employees to spend a considerable amount of time on the casino floor. Slot hosts work directly with slot customers. Hosts welcome and greet patrons coming to the casino through special slot club promotions. They are responsible for setting up accounts and issuing comps, coupons, and other promotional items. They may also develop new promotions, including direct mail campaigns. Good computer and communication skills are required, with applicants having at least a high school diploma. At some casinos, hosts earn commission bonuses on top of their regular salary, which usually starts around $20,000 a year.
