What time do you wake up in the morning? What do you when you wake up in the morning? Down a gallon of coffee? Go for a 20 minute morning workout? Walk the dog? Eat breakfast?
Everyone’s a bit groggy when they first wake up. Morning time can often be a bit chaotic, but it’s also the perfect time to get things done. Do you have the will power to get things done in the morning? This week we found a cool blog post called, What The Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast. It inspired us to start thinking about how we spend our morning hours – and how we could do it better.
If you wake up early and keep track of your time, you can accomplish a lot of stuff before you have to “show up.” The first step is to write down what you want to get done in the AM. Then build your habits to help you accomplish your goals. It takes around a month to make something a habit. Stay focused. Track your progress. Bribe yourself. Get a schedule and stick to it. Ultimately, waking up earlier will make you happier and more productive.
Use the morning to catch up on emails, exercise, write, tweak your resume, apply for jobs, meditate, walk the dog, do yoga, eat a proper breakfast, clean the house, or anything else. Make a schedule and change the typical morning rush to a peaceful, relaxing routine. It will help eliminate stress and get you ready to face the day.
Taking advantage of the morning hours is important for everyone. It’s your chance to dial in your mind and body and get them ready for the day. From frazzled parents to dedicated job seekers, the morning is a good time to get things done. Plus, it makes your day seem longer.
One key ingredient to the morning mix is a good breakfast. How many times have you heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? While this claim is up for some debate, there is a lot of good that can come from a healthy breakfast during the morning hours.
While your changing your other morning habits, maybe you should change up your diet too. A healthy breakfast can increase your energy, boost your metabolism, increase your intelligence, help with weight management, and improve your productivity. Sounds good to me!
