The Editor will do reporting by phone and process field reports, as well as write and copy edit news copy for both broadcast and online distribution. The Editor must ensure that stories prepared by CNN Wire are accurate, balanced, appropriately sourced and compellingly written. The primary focus of the job is on breaking news, and the big stories of the day. The ideal candidate must have proven experience working on tight deadlines with a record for accuracy, speed, versatility and flexibility. The candidate must also have computer and Internet skills, a strong broad understanding of libel law and journalism ethics, and a broad knowledge about national and international news. Fluency in a second language is a major advantage. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience as a copy editor for a major news organization and 5 years experience in news gathering. Also desirable are 4 years experience as a copy editor or ten years journalism experience, including field reporting. Cedar Point, a theatre and amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, is looking for a costume stitcher to work under the direction of the constume designer in constructing approximately 180 costumes. In addition to fitting and finishing costumes during rehearsal weeks, the costume stitcher will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing costumes during the summer season. The ideal candidate is a high school graduate with skill, speed and knowledge of standard sewing techniques. He or she must be a neat, organized team-player.
