Internships at the St. Louis Zoo
The Zoo offers internships to students or recent graduates from the following programs:
- Animal Science
- Biology
- Education
- Human Resources
- Marketing
- Zoology
Interns hired by the Zoo work at least 20 hours per week for a minimum of six weeks.
A prospective intern must be at least 18 years of age. They can be employed on a part-time basis by the Zoo during an internship. Interns are unpaid, but college credit may be granted to the student upon approval of the college or university they are attending.
All prospective interns must complete and submit an application form, which is available from the Zoo website. The following information must accompany the form:
- Letter of Intent (including information about the student’s background, interests, and goals)
- Official Transcripts
- Resume
- Two Letters of Reference
